Crossing several areas of taste, from the classic to the contemporary ones, the ceramic material is characterized by the sign of collective memory which evoke the historical aesthetic and stylistic evolutions.
Ceramic also is included in the world of the Design, a discipline that has been a real driving force for manufactory technological evolution, reaching high qualitative and formal standards.
The ceramic material has also several commendable features, such as hardness, resistance to acids and alkaline solutions, scratchproof, easy cleanability, antibacterial, hygienic, hypoallergenic, fireproof, doesn’t release harmful substances, doesn’t fear extreme hot and cold temperatures nor light. Last but not least, material capable of respecting the environmental balance.
Two the types of ceramic produced: Vitreous China for sanitaryware and fine fireclay for shower trays, washbasins and console.
Enamel and production processes are the same for both the materials with some variations between the characteristics of the ceramic support.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution first appeared in 2011 in Hannover in Germany, at the end of 2013, across the Smart factory of the future outcomes which included an upgrade of the production system for making German manufacturing more internationally competitive.
In Italy the project got the name of Industry 4.0 and was developed and introduced for the first time in 2016.
Industry 4.0 enters the new era of the Smart factory which connects the entire value chain in the manufacturing industry with automation through digitization and new technologies.
Such a revolution was born out of innovative smart technologies that Galassia has developed, driving to more adaptable and agile manufacturing operations: it gains insights into forecast trends of the global market, improving manufacturing workflows for better job performance and quality, more efficiency plus health & safety benefits as well as new competitive smart tools. Added value comes from the quality and experience of hand-made finishes.
